ABOUT US
New Horizon Islamic School is an independent co-educational Islamic Saturday school for children of 4.5-16 years of age. We were based in Oaks Park High School.
HOW WE TEACH
Teaching methods focus on encouraging children to understand Islam. Interactive worksheets, open discussions and presentations are used as fun learning techniques. The children are encouraged to express their ideas through various creativity related activities, keeping then interested in the learning process at all times.
Islamic principles and etiquettes are presented in a fun and interactive way. Each week there is a new Islamic Studies topic taught in accordance with our syllabus. All the activities are directly related to these particular topics.

- Talks and presentations by classmates

We put great emphasis on Islamic celebrations and culture, demonstrating these wonderful days as enjoyable events. This is just one method of increasing our students’ interest in Islam.
All class teachers are experienced individuals. All our teachers are also officially DBS checked.
PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT
It is our aim to involve you as much as we can in the development of your child. You will be invited to discuss your child’s progress with their teacher and will be sent written reports.
We hold a parent-teacher meeting twice a year, to provide you full feedback on your child progress.
